About us
This Is How Our Story Began
Dear Friends,
In 2013 our Federations were not sure of our future in International Twirling Competitions, but we decided we would be stronger if we worked together, and so we formed the European Federation of Baton Twirling, (E.F.B.T.), and it, has progressed well every year since then.
Baton Twirling is a sport and some people would consider it more than one sport, because it is a combination of twirling, dance and gymnastics. The use of gymnastic and dance movements, while handling the baton, blended-together and set to music, to display both technical merit and artistic expression, become a total routine, well packaged for the audience, and just as important for the judges.
The sport is for individuals, pairs, teams and groups, so is very versatile.
Athletes from the age of 9 are welcome to participate and compete for their federations and country in our EFBT competitions.
Our competitions bring together all the twirlers in EFBT, and contributes to the advancement of our sport, and the promotion of friendship between the members of our Federation.
On behalf of EFBT, I welcome all athletes, coaches, Judges, officials and supporters, to our wonderful twirling family, and hope you will enjoy your participation in the competitions, and afterwards you leave with wonderful memories and new friendships.
